Under the rules in force since 2024, short-term rental requires a permit from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the unanimous consent of the other owners in a condominium building. Reaching the threshold means buying more than one apartment or asking the seller for a price on a large unit; in every case the title deed value and a CMB-licensed valuation report are what count.
- The value is determined by a licensed valuation report.
- A no-sale annotation of at least 3 (three) years is placed on the title deed.
- Payment is made in foreign currency and documented through a Turkish bank.
